How does what we discover through scientific excellence ultimately change lives, create opportunities, and shape society?

Research

My research focuses on the nanoscale engineering of intelligent biomaterials and sustainable chemical systems that bridge fundamental science with real-world applications. Working at the Institute for Basic Science and Yonsei University, we harness the potential of soft materials, design biodegradable magnetic nanotransducers, and synthesise molecular platforms to solve challenges in medicine, neuroscience and advanced manufacturing.

Innovation

As a technopreneur, I have always held that innovation begins when discovery brings solutions that improve lives. The work spans research commercialisation, emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and ecosystem development across Africa and South Korea — interdisciplinary projects that connect academia, government, industry and start-ups to accelerate innovation in healthcare, deep technology and sustainable development.

Public Diplomacy

The politics of people to people engagement is not merely for knowledge, cultural exchange or collaboration — it should be driven by the quest to create value, to challenge the status quo, and for every African to re-write the narrative. This work connects fragmented diaspora communities, embassies and pro-Africa institutions into meaningful partnerships between Africa and the Republic of Korea.

Our Method

Believe. Understand. Invent. Listen. Deliver.

Five steps, in order — the initials spell BUILD. It is how a question becomes a protocol, and a protocol becomes something people can use.

Every project runs through the same five steps, and they are deliberately ordered. Belief without understanding produces confident nonsense; invention without listening produces a solution nobody asked for; and none of it counts until something is delivered that a person can actually hold, use or cite.
